Hydro-Carbon degassers for the removal of air and/or gasses from high volume liquid streams. (Degassing)
The orientation of the inlet and outlet can be adapted to the local requirement. The shape of the vessel and the speed of the incoming liquid create a centrifugal force. Through the tangential inlet and the centrifugal force the liquid is forced towards the wall of the vessel, and the air and/or gas due to the difference in density to the centre of the vessel. The liquid is now free from air and/or gas and after several rotations the liquid leaves the vessel though the tangential outlet. Degasser headThe Hydro-Carbon GCS series degassers are executed with a high capacity degasser head. The high capacity degasser head is executed with two orifices. A small orifice to release small amounts of air and/or gas, and a large orifice release large amounts of air and/or gas. Through the large orifice the high capacity degasser head is able to release 100% volume of air/gas from the flowing liquid stream. Hydro-Carbon degasser protects pipelines from air lock, pumps for dry running and measurement systems for inaccurate measurement results. The air and/or gas collected in the centre of the vessel will rise to the degasser head on top of the vessel. The degasser head is executed with a floating ball that will float on the liquid as the degasser is filed up. When the air and/or gas is raised to the degasser head the ball will go down with the liquid level that drops through the air and/or gas collected in the degasser head. When the floating ball drops also the two orifices will open and the air and/or gas will leave the degasser head. When the air and/or gas is leaving the degasser head the liquid level will rise again and close the large orifice. The last small amount of air and/or gas will be released through the small orifice, and when all the air and/or gas has left the degasser the rising liquid level also close the small orifice.
