OIML R 117 -1 approval (International Organization of Legal Metrology*) awarded on our GCS type Degasser series for fiscal metering and custody transfer applications.
With this certification we simplify your Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) approval on metering installations.
Certification issued by NMi Certin B.V. under number TC8184 and in accordance with:
- WELMEC** guide 8.8 “General and Administrative Aspects of the Voluntary System of Modular Evaluation of Measuring instruments under the MID”
- OIML R117-1 Edition 2007 (E) “Dynamic measuring systems of liquids other than water.
These gas separators are approved for separation of air and gas from aviation fuels, bio ethanol, crude oil, petrol and other hydrocarbon liquids with a viscosity of 0,4 mPa.s to 20 mPa.s at 20°C.
The “family” of approved gas separators consists of twelve (12) different capacities.
Inlet and outlet configuration according your specific requirements. For JET Fuel applications we apply a coating on the innerside of the vessel according MIL-C-4556E (like Amercoat 56E Polyamide Epoxy coating)
The gas separator is positioned between the pump and the flow meter (such as for instance Positive Displacement meter, Coriolis mass meter or Ultrasonic type meters) to fulfill measuring accuracy according MID regulations.
The centrifugal gas separator consist of a vertical cylindrical vessel with inlet and outlet connections located tangentially. At the highest point of the the air eliminator an automatic float control air release valve is located. A level glass may be applied on top of the housing for monitoring of the air release process. If a sight glass is not applied alternatively the Gas Separator can be provided with a level measuring system with controlled air release valve.
